Pheasant Hunting, The
Way It Ought To Be. |
DINING The day begins before sunrise with
coffee, snacks, rolls, and news available in both the Lodge and the
RiverHouse’s Great Hall. Around 8:30 a Dakota farm style breakfast is served
in the Lodge Dining Room – cakes, toast, eggs, cereals, local meats and
sausages, biscuits, fruit, juices, milk, coffee, and more. A great start for
another great day. Lunch is
served in the field; water and soft drinks are available throughout the day.
The evening meals feature many local favorites such as, prime rib, pork loin,
pan fried pheasant/chicken, and South Dakota raised beef. "What about
the Beef?" Dakota River Ranch features a very special futurity award
winning steer. These steers are fed in excess of 200 days to achieve this
type of quality and flavor in comparison to the normal 115 day feeding period
of commercial cattle. "You cannot get this quality in any 5 star
restaurant!” There is
plenty available for even the heartiest of appetites, with side dishes served
family style. Let us know about any special dietary needs when you book your
trip. Our entire
operation is designed to provide first-class accommodations and fine dining
in a comfortable and relaxed environment with respect to you and your group’s
needs. |
